Late Model Rules & Information

Mountain Speedway Late Model or Riverhead Raceway Late Model rules, except for:

Technical

·         All cars conforming to the aforementioned rules will be 2,900 lbs with 58% left-side weight before qualifying/race.

·       Bethel Motor Speedway Pro Stocks are allowed but must remain 100% legal to their rules.

·         Maximum 82" track width.

·         Two-way radios are allowed. Teams must have a crewmember listening to race control via a one-way. It is recommended that the driver monitor directly. Track frequency: 154.600.

·        Must declare the rules you wish to use – Mountain or Riverhead.

·        Mountain Speedway track tire must be used. Must start with the tires you qualified on. B-Main qualifiers will be allowed an additional tire. Maximum six tires for your feature tire inventory, including your qualifying tires.

Procedural

Mountain Speedway Rules, with exceptions for:

Qualifying

·         Positions 1-14 will qualify by time trials, with a redraw to be determined by a fan.

·         Positions 15-20 will qualify by the 12-lap consi (if more than 27 cars).

·         Positions 21-25 will be reserved for past, recognized Late Model full-season champions and Late Model Challenge winners.

o   Past Late Model Challenge winners will have priority over past champions.

o   The most recent champions have priority. In an event of a tie, the past champion whose declared home track has the most entered cars, will be given the provisional.

o   If there are no eligible drivers for a provisional, the positions will be filled by the next qualified car through the consi.

Feature - 75 laps (no halfway break)
